O 3rd ctober 2015 - Results of Homefare and Produce Classes Published


The results of the 2015 Show Homefare and Produce classes, including Children’s and Schools/Groups, have now been published. To view them click here. Results for Horse classes and Livestock classes will be published shortly.

4th August 2016 - Gransden Show FaceBook Page


We now have our own FaceBook page to help us to promote Gransden Show. To view it go to facebook.com/gransdenshow or just search for gransdenshow from within Facebook.

12th October 2016 - Charitable Grant Scheme


Please note that the the GDAS Charitable Grant Scheme for Young People is still available this year. This will provide matched funding grants of up to £500 to individuals aged 16 to 26 years old who live within a 15 miles radius of Great Gransden church and who wish to complete rural and agriculture related projects, education and training. See the 2016 Grant Scheme page for full details of criteria to be met by applicants and how to apply.

15th February 2017 - New Horse Classes for 2017 Show


There will be new horse classes at the 2017 Show, these being for in-hand and ridden Cleveland Bays. Castle Rise Stud are kindly sponsoring these. Further information will be available in the Horse Schedules, which will be published later. Publication will be announced here and on our Facebook Page and the schedules will be downloadable from this site. Watch out for the announcement.

16th February 2017 - Goat Classes


It may be possible to include Goat Classes in the 2017 Show. We’re looking at the possibility of including a Donkey Display in the 2017 Show. 20th February 2017 - Poultry Classes


Another possibility for the 2017 Show is the inclusion of Poultry Classes. There have been many poultry displays in recent shows, but for this year’s Show it may be possible to have competitive classes, if there’s enough interest. 26th February 2017 - Poultry Display


If you'd like to enter your poultry for display purposes rather than in competitive classes you can still do this. We always need willing people to join in with a variety of birds to ensure the poultry marquee is as interesting to Show visitors as it usually is. 16th March 2017 - Calling All Donkey Owners


We’d really like to include a Donkey Display in the 2017 Show. 28th March 2017 - Annual General Meeting


At last night’s AGM Marian Morgan was elected President of The Gransden and District Agricultural Society for 2017/18, taking over from  Chris Rook. Alan Bowkett was elected Vice-President, taking over from Marion Morgan. The Board of Directors and the Committee otherwise remain unchanged for the coming year. Entrance prices to the Show were adjusted slightly, with adult tickets remaining the same at £10 and young people aged 11 to 18 increasing slightly to £5. Children under 11 and car parking remain free. A provisional list of attraction for this year’s Show was discussed. See the Home page for details.

29th March 2017 - Donkey Display


A donkey display will now be included in this year’s show, following a successful appeal to donkey owners published on this website and on our Facebook Page. Thank you to everyone who responded.

13th May 2017 - GDAS Membership
